1. Head out and choose a few different plants you think would look well together. Also pick up some soil, sand and pebbles while you’re out.

Succulents and cacti coexist nicely together as they need the same type of planting and watering, therefore these two types of plants would be perfect in the same garden.

You can go to local farmer’s markets or greenhouses near me for plants; but you can find them in a bunch of different places. These places include anywhere from farms to supermarkets like Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.

Most succulents and cacti need to be planted in pretty much a 50/50 ratio of soil mixed with sand. Grab a good amount of pebbles as well, you’ll definitely need these for your garden.

2. Stop at your craft store of preference and grab a glass container deep enough for your plants; this is going to be where you’ll be planting your garden. Choose this based on how many plants you have and how much space you want to give them.

3. Once you have these goods for your succulents, get to arranging them!

4. Pour some (not all) of the pebbles into the bottom of your glass container, you’re going to want at least half an inch.

Mix together the sand and soil and fill about half of the container with the mixture, then make holes that you’ll eventually put your plants into.

5. Plant! Put your succulents/cacti into your (almost finished) garden. Then fill it with the rest of your soil mixture to even out th

e surface of your garden. Lastly, cover the exposed dirt with more sand and pebbles to give your garden the last finishing touch!
