There are a few basic essentials one needs while traveling. First comes the obvious, toothbrush, toothpaste, underwear, etc. But us here at New Yolk want to share with you our favorite travel products and wardrobe must-haves. In order to achieve maximum comfort (and max cuteness for the perfect insta-worthy travel pic) the athleisure look is here to help.

Trousers & trainers Go for comfy pants like leggings, joggers or your favorite pair of jeans in the cooler months of early spring. These are all versatile pieces that leave you feeling comfortable and able to dress for most weather conditions you would be encountering. If it starts to get warm throughout your travels, opt for bringing versatile pieces like skirts, dresses, or loose and comfortable shorts. As for on your feet--the sneaker trend is oh-so-IN. Birkenstocks are also a great go-to, just make sure they are already worn in! Thanks to this, you’ll be looking super fly in your tourist pics and also extremely relieved that you won’t be sporting blisters instead.

Makeup All truly based on preference—you need to decide what products you’re going to need on a daily basis. We recommend the basics; concealer, mascara, and maybe an eyebrow pencil so your brows are always on fleek.

Tops

It’s easy to over pack when it comes to tops; you want to be stylish yet comfortable. The key to packing shirts is to make sure they are all able to work well with your bottom pieces, and layer well! Head back to the basics, comfy loose tee’s (short and long) as well as some light sweaters and flannels that can be worn a few times without having to worry about washing them!

Outerwear Don’t be that person on your trip that has to stop at a tourist shop and pay for overpriced gloves, hat and scarf--make sure you keep these essentials with you if you know your destination is going to be chilly! You’ll thank New Yolk later, I promise.
